All guided saw plates are precision heat treated using liquid salt immersion for superior hardness, microstructure uniformity, and minimal distortion. After hardening, each saw undergoes a controlled tempering cycle to optimize toughness and maintain consistent hardness across the plate.
We offer three distinct finish options to suit the preferences of saw doctors:
- Silver Finish: Our standard finish. Tempered before surface grinding, producing a bright and clean appearance. Offers excellent performance and flatness.
- Gold Finish: Undergoes an additional moderate tempering cycle post-grinding. Helps relieve residual stress and improves how the saw responds to leveling, tensioning, and hammering.
- Blue Stress Relief Finish: Features a second high-temperature soak under pressure after standard processing. This advanced stress-relief treatment improves saw stability and performance. Though the streaked appearance may look unusual, these saws are extremely flat and trusted by experienced filers.
